"Those who stand for nothing fall for anything." - Alexander Hamilton
So let me ask you, what are you standing for, or better yet, what are you standing against? I wonder when Alexander Hamilton said "Those who stand for nothing fall for anything," if he had any idea where our country would be in 2015. It's almost as if people don't want to know what is really going on in our country possibly because once you are aware of the truth, it almost forces you to stand up, it did me.
I was content watching our country from a distance, being updated on the issues as if they would never trickle down to my level and begin to affect me, man was I wrong. I was simply living my life minding my own business when something went off on the inside of me. Maybe that was the problem, I was minding MY OWN business. I didn't have time to stand up for something that was outside of my everyday life nor did I know how to or even where to start, but again, something went off on the inside and I just knew I couldn't sit down any longer and watch as my country, my America was being changed into something that I didn't even recognize. It was then that I realized, I was falling for the lie that I couldn't make a difference, that I was just one voice in a sea of millions but that never has been nor ever will be the truth.
The truth of the matter is, this is my country, this is your country, our voices do matter but if we choose to remain silent, if we choose not to stand up, then we lose by default and I can't live with that! I chose to stand up, to raise my voice, to walk out on the water in faith believing that what God had for me to say was important. Now, I am asking the same of you. Will you stand up? Will you step out of your comfort zone and take a step towards a better America? If we don't, we lose by default. Don't let that be the case...it's time to Stand Up...it's time to take back what is ours...I am standing with you!

I hate New Year resolutions, hate them, some I keep, some I don't keep and it's all really just so tiring! This year, I am going to take things one day at a time, one step at a time, I refuse to box myself into one resolution on the first day of the year when this day is really no different than yesterday and no different than tomorrow, it's just a day and a day is going to be whatever we make of it. So here's to 2015, may each day be the day the Lord has made...
